The villas are located in a neighborhood full of possibilities: within a few minutes, either on foot or by car, you can reach the beautiful white sandy beach, but also a coastline composed of rocks and cliffs jutting out into the sea.

Only about a 10-minute drive away, you can discover “Mondello paese,” a small and colorful fishing village where traditional fishing is still practiced and, at the same time, you will find several seafood restaurants and stores where you can enjoy the delicious and authentic street food.

Various activities and services complete the area’s offerings: gourmet as well as family restaurants; excellent cafeterias/pastry shops where you can delight your palate with renowned Sicilian sweets, ice creams and granitas.
Also present in the neighborhood: bank, post office, tobacconist, supermarket, craft stores.
A few hundred meters from the villas is the bus stop with which to reach the city of Palermo.

Recommended:
– about 7 km from Mondello, walking through the Parco della Favorita (formerly home to royal gardens) golf enthusiasts will find a 9-hole golf course;

– skirting the long beach of Mondello, at sunset…you will find many little bars overlooking the sea, waiting to offer you delicious aperitifs.

Recommended excursions:
The seaside villages of Isola delle Femmine and Sferracavallo a few kilometers from Mondello.

San Vito lo Capo and its breathtaking beach (about an hour ½ drive away).

The charming town of Erice, overlooking the city of Trapani, with its typical stone-paved streets and enchanting climate.

The Salt Pans of Trapani and Marsala, the Island of Mozia from which to enjoy spectacular sunsets.

The city of Palermo is only 7 km from Mondello beach and can be reached either by public transportation or by renting a convenient car.

It is difficult to give advice on what to visit…certainly its historic center, rich in artistic testimonies of the highest level that reach their peak in the Cathedral, the Palatine Chapel (located inside the Royal Palace), and the majestic Massimo Theater, a magnificent expression of Art Nouveau. For beauty and importance, definitely recommend the following churches: La Martorana, S. Giovanni degli Eremiti and the basilica of S. Francesco d’Assisi enriched, together with the nearby Oratory of S. Lorenzo, by Giacomo Serpotta’s stuccoes.

In addition to the countless churches of great artistic value, the city offers the opportunity to visit characteristic popular markets: “La Vucciria,” “Ballarò,” “Il Capo”: true triumphs of Sicilian colors, scents and flavors that offer the opportunity to taste the renowned local street food.

Not to be missed… the promenade at the Trapezoidal Pier, an absolute novelty that enriches and enhances the port area of the city. It is a vast space overlooking the sea, characterized by the largest musical fountain in Italy, where you can also find: restaurants, stores dedicated to fashion and food. The real gem of this unique place, is represented by the presence of an artificial lake that, with its 7,000 square meters of surface and skirting the walls of the ancient “Castle by the Sea” traces the ancient relationship between sea and city, recreating a kind of continuity and complicity between the city and its port.

Recommended excursions:
Monreale, reachable by car in about 20 minutes, forms with Palermo, a single urban agglomeration.
The town is an archiepiscopal see and its Cathedral, together with that of Cefalù, represent high testimonies of Arab/Norman civilization (both, since 2015 declared UNESCO World Heritage Sites).

Cefalù (1 hour’s drive away) characteristic seaside town with Arab/Norman evidence: the Cathedral with the image of Christ Pantocrator in the apse, the medieval Lavatoio with a window overlooking the sea in a narrow street on the main street. Cefalù is also a delightful tourist/beach resort full of hotels, restaurants and boutiques selling local crafts.

Agrigento (about 2 hours’ drive) a city world-famous for its striking and unique Valley of the Temples, a unique archaeological heritage and the greatest testament to Greek architecture. With its narrow medieval streets and stunning sea views, Agrigento offers a fascinating mix of history, culture and breathtaking scenery.
